We know every cat is special, but your kitty friend is just a little bit more than that. And that’s what drives us at Mabel Ann Studio. We are dedicated to artisan quality, handmade cat toys that will stand the test of your cat’s every hunt, every chase, every pounce, every proud moment of carrying their toy around the house showing off the capture. We’ve even been told that several of our kitty friends have even made their MAS cat toy their sleepy time nap friend (awww…..).
What makes a MAS cat toy unique? Here’s just a few of many reasons:
Every toy is individually knit, felted, sewn and embroidered, all by hand, to give it that durable but wonderfully fuzzy texture your cat will love.
Yes, cats do see specific colors, so our toys are exclusively knit with an all wool yarn, in colors cats show the most interest in from their visual spectrum.
At MAS, we exclusively use a wonderfully aromatic, 100% organic catnip and silver vine mix combined with an ecofriendly stuffing to make each toy irresistible to your kitty in both scent and plumpness.
Every MAS cat toy is thoroughly checked for quality (and cuteness) before receiving the final “Mabel Ann paw print of approval” tag. Mabel Ann wouldn’t even hear of settling on anything less than the highest quality for her designs. Neither should your kitty.
Just a little about us..
There’s hardly been a time I can recall without a cat in my life. My mom has old photos of me as a kid with cats riding along in my bicycle basket, reading the Sunday comics with me, and just generally being my pal. But of all of them, Mabel Ann has had the most influence on me and the course of my designs.
I have always loved fiber arts - but I am especially passionate about the art of knitting and the transformation that felting gives the fabric. When Mabel pointed out to me that my love of felted knitting could be combined with her love of cat toys, there was no turning back ~ Our Studio was born!

This catnip mouse is adorable and extremely well made. It is also very reasonably priced, considering how long it takes to do felting. I bought this for my 18-year-old kitty who, believe it or not, likes purple. Given a whole pile of toys, she always picks the purple ones, and over the years had already worn out two purple stuffed mice so I was on a search to find her another. This one is perfect. It also came in a lovely bag, just beautifully packaged. There is only one problem....now my other cats all want mice of their own so I may have to get more!.”
